Privacy notice
What the Daadang early-access extension and this site read, keep and send — in plain language.
Draft for the early-access build. The operator’s identity, contact details and final legal terms will be added and reviewed before the extension's public release.
What the extension reads
Only on a supported checkout (today, VAHDAM India’s secure checkout window), Daadang reads the coupon field, item identifiers and quantities, and the amounts shown, so it can compare prices before and after a coupon.
It isn’t built to read your phone number, address or payment details, and it doesn’t sign in, fill in forms, pay or place orders. On other sites it does nothing.
What it keeps on your device
In your browser’s extension storage, Daadang keeps its on/off setting and a summary of your last result (store, amounts and saving). It has no account and no sign-in. Removing the extension deletes this data.
What it sends
To get the coupon list for a supported store, the extension asks the Daadang service for that store’s coupons. The request names the store only — it carries no cart contents, amounts or cookies.
In this early-access build, the Daadang service runs on your own computer at 127.0.0.1:4317. Nothing is sent to a Daadang server on the internet.
The coupons themselves are applied in the store’s own checkout, so the store receives the codes tried, as it would if you typed them yourself. The store’s own privacy policy applies to its site.
This website
This site uses no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts, and sets no cookies. Fonts and images are served from the same website origin.
When you visit the public website, its host receives your IP address to deliver the page. Website access logs record the time, request method, URL path, response status and response size, excluding IP addresses, query strings, referrers and browser identifiers. Error logs may include connection details such as IP addresses. Logs rotate daily with 14 archived rotations retained.
The separate local companion service logs each request’s method, route, status and a random request ID. To limit abuse, it counts requests per connection address in memory for about a minute; that count isn’t written to its log.
The “Report a problem” box on the Help page stays in your browser. Nothing you type there is sent.
Browser permissions
- storage — to keep the on/off setting and last result.
- 127.0.0.1:4317 — to reach the local Daadang service.
- www.vahdam.in and pdp.gokwik.co — VAHDAM’s store and its secure checkout window. On GoKwik checkouts for other merchants, Daadang checks the tab and does nothing.
It doesn’t request access to all sites, your tabs, cookies, browsing history, payments or notifications.
Your choices
Switch Daadang off from its popup at any time, or remove it from chrome://extensions. Daadang does nothing at checkout until you choose Apply coupons.
